George Beaudoin, Hampstead, NH

Beaudoin, 76, is a retired machinist and Democrat who lists the economy, gas prices and the Iraq war as his most pressing concerns. He is leaning toward voting for Sen. Barack Obama.

Kim Pacocha, Chester, NH

Pacocha, 45, is a small business owner and independent. Having grown up in Alaska, she is interested in following that state's governor, Sarah Palin, who is also the Republican vice presidential nominee. She also wants to hear more substance from each side before making up her mind.

Meaghan Wilkins, Joplin, Mo.

Wilkins, 44, is a data entry specialist and Republican who has been loyal to President George W. Bush since he was first elected eight years ago. The single mother of two children is particularly concerned about the economy.
