It may be a month later than usual, however, the annual Gautier Orchid Show must still go on. Due to COVID-19, the flower event that’s usually held at the end of January was moved to the last weekend of February. Now the show will be happening Friday the 28th through Sunday the 28th. Six vendors will be set up at the show including a woman who designs orchids and has won awards for her artificial orchids. Orchid Society member Marilyn Ladner said, "I think people are going to be excited to get out and to see something different. Get out of these four walls because it gets depressing, you know?" The show is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, noon to six on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Masks are mandatory for all guests.
